Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of National Taiwan University in 2028
Dear NTU alumni and friends:
In preparation for the 100th anniversary of NTU in 2028, President Chen Wen-wen launched the "100th Anniversary Fund" project in 2023 to raise funds to strengthen the development and competitiveness of NTU. The proceeds will be used to recruit and retain talents, build campus hardware, provide student scholarships, and plan to subsidize 100 students to study abroad each year. In addition, a centenary memorial hall will be built, and campus and college facilities will be upgraded to ensure that NTU continues to move towards excellence.
The Southern California NTU Alumni Association has actively responded to the president's call and launched a fundraising campaign since 2023. In 2024, we continued to work hard, and with the support of many enthusiastic seniors, the total amount of donations in two years has exceeded **$100,000**. However, compared with the more than 600,000 US dollars of the Northern California Alumni Association and the more than 400,000 US dollars of the Greater New York Alumni Association, there is still a gap. We firmly believe that the passion of Southern California alumni for the school is no less than that of other regions, so we sincerely invite you to join us, turn this enthusiasm into practical actions, and fully support the NTU Centennial Fundraising Plan!
On June 22, 2025, President Chen will personally visit Los Angeles to meet with alumni and hold a fundraising dinner. We hope that from now on, Southern California alumni will respond to the donation and take out a gift to their alma mater when the president visits Los Angeles on June 22 to raise funds for the school's centennial celebration in 2028 and contribute to the sustainable development of their alma mater.
We are very grateful for any donation, no matter how much! Especially for alumni or relatives who donate more than $1,000, we will sincerely invite you to attend the fundraising dinner on 6/22/2025 and sit at the honor table. Alumni who donate more than $5,000 will be invited to sit at the VIP table with the president. President Chen will personally present a certificate of appreciation from National Taiwan University and take a photo with you to express his deep gratitude.
